At Maxify, we're committed to protecting your privacy while providing facial feature analysis and personalized improvement recommendations. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
1. Information We Collect
Face Data and Photos
- Photos: Images of your face that you voluntarily upload for analysis
- Facial Analysis Results: AI-generated assessments of facial proportions, symmetry, and feature measurements (e.g., facial ratios, jawline definition, facial symmetry scores)
- Improvement Recommendations: Personalized workout routines and skincare recommendations based on your analysis
Account Information
- Email Address: Used for account creation and authentication
- User ID: A unique identifier assigned to your account for authentication and linking your data
- Apple Sign-In Data: Name and email provided through Apple's authentication service
Subscription Data
- Purchase Information: Subscription status and purchase dates (processed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat)
- Usage Tracking: Number of analyses performed to enforce free tier limits
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data exclusively for the following purposes:
- Facial Analysis: Process your uploaded photos using AI to generate facial feature assessments, symmetry scores, and personalized improvement recommendations
- Account Management: Authenticate your account and save your analysis history
- Subscription Management: Process purchases and manage your subscription tier
- App Improvement: Fix bugs and improve app performance
We do NOT:
- Use your face data or photos for advertising purposes
- Use facial recognition to identify you or match you with other individuals
- Sell your personal information to anyone
- Track you across other apps or websites for advertising
3. Face Data Processing and Third-Party Sharing
AI Analysis Processing
When you upload a photo for analysis, your photo is sent to Google Gemini AI via OpenRouter to perform facial feature analysis. This processing happens in real-time to generate your results.
Important: Your photos are sent to Google's AI service solely for the purpose of analyzing facial features and generating recommendations. According to OpenRouter's and Google's policies, images sent for analysis are not stored or retained by Google or OpenRouter after processing is complete. The photos are processed transiently to generate your analysis results and then discarded.
What Data is Shared
- Sent to Google Gemini (via OpenRouter): Your uploaded face photos for AI analysis
- NOT shared with third parties: Your email, name, user ID, or any personally identifiable account information
The AI analysis is performed under Google's and OpenRouter's respective privacy policies and terms of service. You can review their policies at:

4. Face Data Storage and Retention
In Our Database (PlanetScale)
- Photos: Stored in our secure database while your account is active, or until you manually delete them
- Analysis Results: Facial measurements, scores, and recommendations are stored to display your history and track progress
- Location: Data is stored on PlanetScale's secure Postgres database infrastructure in the United States
By Third Parties (Google/OpenRouter)
- Photos: NOT stored - processed transiently for analysis and then discarded
- Retention: 0 days - images are not retained after processing
Upon Account Deletion
When you delete your account, all photos, facial measurements, and analysis results stored in our database are permanently deleted within 30 days.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Apple Sign-In: Secure authentication (receives email and name only)
- PlanetScale: Secure Postgres database hosting for your account and analysis data
- RevenueCat: Subscription management (receives only purchase data, NOT face data or photos)
- OpenRouter/Google Gemini: AI-powered facial analysis (receives photos for processing but does not store them)
6. Data Security
We implement multiple layers of security:
- Encrypted data transmission using TLS protocols
- Secure database storage with PlanetScale
- Secure authentication through Apple Sign-In
- Regular security updates and monitoring
7. Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to:
- Access Your Data: View all photos and analysis results in your account
- Delete Your Data: Remove individual photos or analysis results at any time
- Delete Your Account: Permanently delete your account and all associated data within 30 days
- Export Your Data: Request a copy of your data by contacting us
- Update Information: Modify your email and account settings
8. Children's Privacy
Maxify is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we discover that a user under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
9. International Users
By using Maxify, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data in the United States. We comply with applicable data protection laws.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
